If you are aware of the needy in Akron, you are aware there are many homeless people in Akron.

You may also be aware there are many abandon buildings in Akron. 

The Housing Liberation Movement looks to connect these two issues.

Contribute to the Housing Liberation Movement and we will take over abandon buildings and give them to those in need. This will also help make neighborhoods safer and cleaner by not letting empty houses and buildings sit empty for criminals.

We can use these buildings as homes for the homeless or as community activity centers. Let us know what you'd like to see when you make your donation.

We will have some basic ground rules for people that take over the buildings:

• You can't break in. You must be able to get in through an open window or door.
• You can't do drugs or drink while in the property.
• You must secure the building so no criminal activity can happen in the building.
• You must clean up the property and mow the lawn so the property is respectable for the community.
• You must abide by all laws and be respectful of neighbors, police and property owners.

Contribution Rules

1. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
2. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
3. I am at least eighteen years old.
4. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
