John McCain goes off the rails | Salon News. If you guys think McCain is dying in the campaign because of his “straight talk” you are as screwed up as Washington is.

The reason McCain is slowly falling away is because he has become spineless. He looks more like a poll-reading automaton than a “straight talker.” Granted, recently he has tried to go back to his 2000 roots of being this maverick that says what he thinks is right. It’s all too little too late. It reminds me of the time Jerry Springer suddenly stopped allowing fights on his stage. His audience was appalled (including me). He quickly came back with bigger and better fights. But he was never the same in my eyes. I stopped watching for good.

You should have never stopped the stage brawls, John. Now your straight talk looks like more of the same old same old coming out of Washington. I’m sorry. I liked you once… as did so many. But now this show is over.
