I just wanted to jot this down really quick before I forgot it.
At the Consumer Electronics, Show Stephanie Pence VP of Communications of Dish put up this slide:

People spend 30 hours a week watching TV. That’s up 40 minutes from last year. “People spend as much time watching TV as working.”
I could spend a lot of time rambling on about that all. But I’ll just let the numbers speak for themselves and you can judge.
On average? I watch at most 14 hours. Usually more like 6. Some weeks I believe it’s less than that. Who are these people? Does that mean there’s someone out there watching 45+ hours a week to bring the average up to 30?
In fairness to humanity (I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt) they are probably doing other things while the TV is on.
I think many people turn the TV on the first thing in the morning and when they get home from work.
They then make dinner, do homework, play video games, etc. That’s what I’m hoping anyway.
