This is just a running post of technology troubleshooting findings for future reference.
Incidentally, I am in love with my slingbox and I highly recommend it.
There was an ip conflict today. My computer and the slingbox were both on: 192.168.100.2. I’m not exactly sure why that happened. But I hard coded my ip address on my computer to .4 and that seemed to do the trick. I then went back to being assigned an ip. It stayed on .4.
I had this happen again. However, I realized that 192.168.100.2 wasn’t my Slingbox. It was actually my wireless access point: Linksys WET11 – Wireless Ethernet Bridge. I had put it on that ip address as a static address. I just changed it to 192.168.100.12. My computer always wanted to take 100.2 and caused the conflict.
I can configure the WET11 wirelessly. I just need the driver: “Setup Wizard” to change its settings. I will save this in My Documents/wet11_wizard_dr. But if it gets deleted for some reason you can just download it on the Linksys site. Hopefully this conflict will no longer be around.
Don’t forget that I set up “forwarding” on my wireless router on port 5001 to ip: 192.168.100.237.
Then my remote wouldn’t work. This was because the plug wasn’t plugged all the way in on the back of my Slingbox.
It’s now running perfectly.

I started general research over here:
http://autos.yahoo.com/
I liked this site because it gave me a rough estimate of cost over a series of years all at once.
I also got interested in some other vehicles while I was doing it.
So far, my research reveals that there is a major jump in pricing from being brand new to being a year old. I guess I’ve known that. But I’ve never really seen it across multiple cars all at once. But then I noticed that it appears almost all 10 year old cars cost the same.

Akron has this really inconvenient PDF version of it’s bus schedule. So I decided to set out to make it html. I just started with the #1 bus. But at least it’s a start. It looks really good on a mobile phone too:
Hi everybody,
I haven’t posted much here concerning webmarketingwatch.com. But that site is my daily web marketing video show. Monday through Friday I post a web marketing video to help marketers make sense of the crazy world of web marketing.
Monday’s episode for this week was:
Steps to Video Blogging and Getting a Video Camera
This week we talk about the steps to doing your own video blogging, vlogging, video casting or whatever you would like to call it. This is the introduction. And we also review video cameras… the first place to start. Video blogging seems like a lot of difficulty. But it really isn’t too difficult. You just need to know what the steps are to getting started. Since I do a fair amount of this, I thoughts I’d give you some tips.
