Saint Paul Sunday from American Public Media

Filed under: Uncategorized — Sage @ 8:32 am

My friend Zuill is goiing to be featured this Sunday in a live concert on the radio with Awadagin Pratt.

They are performing a “live” recital with interview on NPR’s Saint Paul Sunday Morning Show. It will also be broadcast on XM as well. The concert will include Debussy’s Cello Sonata, the Beethoven A Major Sonata, and the e minor Sonata of Brahms.

I’m sure it will be good. You can read about it here:

WorldBlu l Designing Democratic Organizations

This is a group that I just came across that is promoting democracy within business organizations. I’ve often wondered why democracy is not promoted in business even though it’s something we swear by as a government. It sounds to me that we only want democracy when we aren’t the ones in charge.

I’m going to look into these people a bit more. I’ve been trying to figure out how to apply democracy to my business. It sounds like these people might help me along.

I uploaded some Indiana Pictures this weekend. I used the FireFox FTP program and for some reason it distorted some of the pictures. I re-uploaded them and they all seem to be good now:

Jennings Heating Co., Inc - Great Service!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Sage @ 10:17 am

I just had to spend $100 on my furnace. There is a tricky module or something. It didn’t turn on last night and consequently got pretty chilly.

But here’s the thing, I just had Mike come by from Jennings Heating Company. He has actually been to my house a couple years ago when my igniter went.

Mike is the most helpful, kind service person you could ever hope for. First off, I called them on a Saturday morning at 7:00 and they had Mike here by 9:00. That’s amazing. Then he spent an hour here checking things and making sure everything was running properly.

He poored bleach in my dehumidifier on the furnace to clean that out. He made sure it was up and running properly. He told me about some mastik stuff that I can buy at Jennings to paint the seams of my duct work to help with efficiency.

I distinctly remember being impressed by him in 2003. And I was equally impressed today.

Thanks Mike. You are a person I’m happy to write a $127 check to. For some reason, it’s hard being a customer with many service companies. But Mike makes it a pleasure. I hope I always get him for any of our heating and cooling service needs.

I highly recommend these people for your heating and cooling needs in North East Ohio. They are located in Akron. …and ask for Mike.
